Guidelines for Medicine & Allied
My advice to all hardworking aspirants of FCPS part-1
1- Many people would tell u fcps is by chance and by luck....but dats not the sole thing guys. First thing and very important is self belief on ur ability. if u can clear ur profs in good grades u can do anything. just a bit of right guidance and positive thinking with hard work would make it for u. No doubt luck and prayers count in every exam but that not the sole thing...u have to work hard. clear ur concept and then rely on luck and prayers.
2- regarding study its better to do group study and this forum provides best platform to all of u. Do chapterwise mcqs and discuss them with ur friends colleagues and seniors. Never rely blindly on any person unless u r satisfied with reference or explanation coz all here are same students like u and can err.
3- regarding books there are many files here suggesting books..pick the one which suits u best but do maximum mcqs to clear ur concept. and never try to rattafy the answer of key cox u wud never remember that. Always try to get the basic point asked or hidden in mcq which cant be done alone...so again grp discussion becomes handy there.
JUST HAVE FIRM FAITH IN UR ABILITY AND ALLAH....DO HARDWORK AND IT WILL PAY OFF FOR SURE...
BEST WISHES FOR ALL THE ASPIRANTS

Give at least 2 reads (if you're in those students who gv first read like reading newspaper ]
Q: How should I start?
A: It is your choice but as we commonly believe that you should start from a subject which seem easy so that your study rhythm build-up. Physiology will not be a bad choice.

Q: MCQs with course book? or once I finished with course then MCQs?
A: Rabia Ali & Murad (Most seniors will not recommend this book because according to them the pool of murad's book is great - conceptual but No question from this book in paper) are the only books which are compiled chapter-wise. So Once you finished with a chapter in any book then do MCQs of that chapter in Rabia Ali. Chandkian's & Asim and Shaoib After u finish ONE GOOD READ. MCQs are important but first thing (Course books) first.

Q: how much time I should give to the study?
A: Tough question! Success in part-1 IS EQUAL TO Prayers + Luck + Hard-work. You can't pass without hard-work but you can fail even after hard-work . so make sure that for test you do what's on you (hard-work).

Q: Questions in exam will be confusing? answers (Options) will be very close?
A: Well! Answer to this question is "NO". 95-97% questions will be crystal clear. Yes the remaining 2-3% (5-6 MCQs) will NOT make any sense but who cares if you're confident about 95%.

Q: I am afraid that I will not be that perfect, I think I can't do it?
A: Welcome. We all thought in the same way. You know what if people like us, who has low IQ & less guidance can do it then you'll definitely do it. No body is perfect and we all have some flaws but at the end you will survive InShaALLAH. Have a little faith and believe in yourself.

Q: Bottom Line to this whole post?
A: Give One good read (along with Rabia Ali MCQs) to course then do more & more MCQs [Don't memorize it, try to understand the correct answer, explain it yourself, reason with yourself, if still have a problem ASK]. You guys/gals have a lot of time so make sure that you solve at least these 3 books series (Chandkian's, Rabia Ali and Asim & Shoaib) PLUS Ganong's MCQs. Give at least 2 reads to the whole course & MCQs (books mentioned earlier)
